Boingo Reports Major Military Deployment

Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi and small cell provider Boingo Wireless said today that it has completed the single, largest deployment in the company's history with the U.S. military, and is now providing high speed Internet services covering more than 100,000 beds across 21 United States Marine Corps, United States Air Force and United States Army bases worldwide. Boingo said it installed more than 25,000 access points across more than 500 buildings in the deployment, using approximately 400 miles of cable. Boingo said the deployment was roughly the equivalent of 80 airports the size of Chicago O'Hare. Boingo said it has an additional 20 bases in planning, construction, or prelaunch.
