GlySens Raises $12M For Diabetes Monitoring

San Diego-based GlySens said today that it has raised $12M in a Series C funding round, for the company's continuous glucose monitoring systems for people with diabetes. The company said the funding came from both new and returning investors. Name of those investors were not disclosed. GlySens, which is led by Joseph Lucisano, said the funding will go towards further development of its continuous glucose monitoring systems. GlySens' devices include an implantable sensor with one year battery life, which continuously transmits wireless information on a patients' glucose levels to an external receiver. More information »
