Goodbye, LA Dreams: Winklevoss Twins Put Hollywood Mansion Up For Lease

It looks like all the grand plans by the Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss to set up an investment outpost in Los Angeles have faded away, on news that the twins are now leasing out their Hollywood mansion, asking for $150,000 a month for the 8,000 square foot mansion in the Hollywood hills. The two--who made their fortune via a highly publicized lawsuit against former Harvard classmate and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg--had said two years ago that they were acquiring the mansion to set up a West Coast presence for their investment firm, Winklevoss Capital, to invest in companies here. It's unclear if the firm actually made any investments here: the firm has yet to be publicly announced as an investor in any local startups.
