DTS Inks Deal With Alibaba

Calabasas-based audio technology developer DTS said today that it has inked with a unit of Alibaba Group, to offer up its DTS-HD sound technology in a set top box. Financial impact of the win was not announced. DTS said its DTS-HD sound technology will be used in the Tmall Box, a new set-top-box operated by the digital entertainment unit of Alibaba Group. That box offers up online video streaming, pay TV, music, video games, and other entertainment to Chinese consumers.
