Stocktwits Adds Real Time Notifications

San Diego- and New York-based StockTwits has rolled out a way for mobile users to get selected, real-time notifications when people they follow post messages. According to Stocktwits CEO Howard Lindzon, the new feature lets users easily pick the few people they'd like to get real time notifications from, and have the posts of those few people show up in your mobile notifications. The new feature prevents every post by anyone you follow from showing up as an alert, only triggering alerts on specific users. Stocktwits operates a Twitter-like, micro messaging service specifically geared at stock trading and investment.
