Qualcomm Backs BYOD Software Vendor Workspot

San Diego-based Qualcomm is backing bring-your-own-device (BYOD) software developer Workspot, via an investment from Qualcomm Ventures, Workspot said this week. Workspot said it raised $5M from Helion Ventures, Translink Capital, and Qualcomm Inc., to help advance its software that allows users to access their business apps and data through Windows, iOS, Android, and Mac operating systems.
