Media Temple Unveils New Shared Hosting Offering

Los Angeles-based web and cloud hosting service provider Media Temple said Thursday that it has launched a new, shared hosting solution, which is based on its existing shared hosting platform, Grid. According to Media Temple, the new shared hosting offer now offers a managed, shared hosting to its users, available through three different plans: Grid Pro, Grid Agency and Grid Agency+. The new managed offering automatically handles application updates, malware scanning and automated removal, performance monitoring and backups for clients. The plans all start at $30 per month. The company said the new offering specifically is targeted at freelance web designers, developers, and small and medium agencies.
