Semtech Selected For IoT Network In India

Camarillo-based analog and mixed signal semiconductor developer Semtech announced today that its LoRa technology has been selected to power an Internet-of-Things (IoT) network in India. Semtech said Tata Communications is using its technology to deploy an IoT network in key cities in India, starting with Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore. Financial impact of the win was not announced. LoRa is an emerging, low power, competitive technology which competes against 4G, WiFi, ZigBee and Bluetooth alternatives.
