EDF Renewable Energy Turns On Wind Project

San Diego-based renewable energy developer EDF Renewable Energy says one of its wind energy projects, the Slate Creek Wind Project in Kansas, has reached commercial operation. According to EDF, the 150 megawatt project, 50 miles south of Wichita, reached commercial operation on December 29th. The power from the project is being sold to Great Plains Energy. The 150 megawatts is enough to power around 55,000 average Missouri and Kansas homes.
