OpenHouse Rolls Out Personalized Real Estate Recommendations

Santa Monica-based OpenHouse has launched a new site which helps home buyers get personalized, real estate recommendations and information on neighborhoods, the company said today. The startup, led by Mazen Fawaz, said that it uses social media and demographic data to recommend the best homes, neighborhoods, and real estate agents based on a users' needs. The company's service--available through an iOS app, desktop, and mobile site--learns about a users' preferences in residences, based on their "dream home" and other details--and then sends on daily real estate connections suggesting homes users might be interested in. The app currently covers San Francisco, San Jose, Greater Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C./Bethesda, Miami, and Boston. OpenHouse raised $13.5M in a Series A funding from Triangle Peak Partners and March Capital back in November.
