Overnight Raises $2.5M For Booking Last Minute Rooms

Los Angeles-based Overnight, a brand new travel booking app startup which aims to connect last minute travelers with local hosts, has raised $2.5M in a seed funding, the company is announcing this morning. The funding was led by Accomplice and CrossCut Ventures, and also included Paul Bricault (Greycroft/Amplify) and Elliott Bisnow (Summit Action Fund). Overnight was founded by Asher Hunt, Artia Moghbel, and Ethan Kravitz. The company's app lets travelers connect at the very last minute with local hosts those locations who are instantly notified and can respond to availability of a place to sleep. The app lets users pinpointing a neighborhood and setting a radius, and reaching out to hosts in that radius. According to Hunt, the app is aimed at spontaneous travelers and hosts, especially Millennials, who do not want to be tied to a calendar, and aren't interested in dealing with planning their stays ahead of time.
