JetPack Aviation Links With Georgia Tech
Van Nuys-based JetPack Aviation, a developer of commercially available "jet packs" for sending people into the air, said today that it has signed an agreement with Georgia Tech Research Institute. According to the company, the two will merge JetPack's technology with a similar subsystem bilt by Georgia Tech, to address military applications. JetPack did not details terms of the agreement with Georgia Tech, but said the two will jointly solicit R&D funding from the U.S. military. JetPack Aviation also said it is seeking new investors in the company; the company has been crowdfunding its efforts via StartEngine. The company so far has raised a little over $173,000 out of $1M it is seeking on the StartEngine platform.
