Gamevice Grabs $12.5M To Turn Your iPhone Into A Game Console

Los Angeles-based Gamevice, a developer of hardware devices which attach to your existing smartphone which turns them into a gaming console, has raised $12.5M in a Series A funding round, the company said Wednesday morning. The funding was co-led by TransLink Capital and California Technology Ventures (CTV), and also included BAM Ventures, TYLT Ventures, and Kevin Chou, the former CEO of Kabam. As part of the funding, Chou joins the company's board. Phillip Hyun is the CEO of Gamevice. Gamevice says its products currently work with iPhone 7/7 plus and 6/6S/6 plus/6S plus smartphones, iPad Air, iPad Mini, and iPad Pro devices.
