Los Angeles-based Gamzee, a developer of HTML5 and mobile/social games, announced Thursday that it has raised $1M in a seed round of funding. The funding came from Bristol Investment Fund, Ltd; Jarl Mohn, the former CEO of Liberty Digital and former board member at Riot Games; Heiko Hubertz, founder and CEO of Bigpoint, and Paul Bricault, a Venture Partner at Greycroft Partners. Paul Ksller of Bristol Investment Fund joins the firm's board as part of the funding. Gamzee is headed by Howard Marks, a co-founder of Activision and Acclaim Games, and former SVP at Disney Interactive Media Group.
