Gemstar-TV Guide Extends Mitsubishi License

Los Angeles-based Gemstar-TV Guide International said today that it has amended a licensing agreement it has with Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, to provide the electronics manufacturer with its interactive television program guides. Gemstar said that it will offer its latest interactive program guide product, "TV Guide Daily" into selected Mitsubishi digital televisions in the U.S. market. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Gemstar's technology will be incorporated into Mitsubishi's LCD flat panel products, including Mitsubishi's Diamond 1080p DLP HDTVs.
