Gigi Hill Gets $3M For Handbags

Yorba Linda-based Gigi Hill, a manufacturer of handbags and totes distributed through in-home parties, has raised $3M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Maveron, the venture capital firm founded by Starbucks founder Howard Schultz and Dan Levitan. Other investors in the round included Trinity Ventures and Mark Vadon, who co-founded Blue Nile and Zulily. Jason Stoffer and Clayton Lewis of Maveron have joined Gigi Hill's board as part of the funding. Gigi Hill was founded by Gabrielle DeSantis-Cummings and Monica Hillman. More information »
