Los Angeles-based Giiv, which operates a mobile gifting service, has confirmed its recent $3.35M funding round, saying that the funding came from Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Saban Ventures, Founder Collective, and SK Telecom Ventures. The firm allows its users to text gift certificates to others. Giiv.com is headed by Michelle Crames. The round had been revealed in a regulatory filing in May.
