    Google Acquires Picasa


    Pasadena-based Picasa has been acquired by Google. Picasa develops digital photo management software, and had a prior deal with Google's Blogger service to integrate the company's photo organization software with Google's blogging tools. The company's software provides automatic photo organization for Windows, with automatic categorization of digital photos, search, browse, and enhancement tools. Picasa is backed by Idealab and was founded in October of 2001. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
