Green Hills Adds Secure Routing Software

Santa Barbara-based Green Hills Software said today that it has added new advanced layer 3 IPv4 and IPv6 routing software to its lineup of products for its operating systems. Green Hills, which provides embedded, real-time operating systems for hardware designers, said that the new routing software is specifically designed for its Platform for Secure Networking, software it provides for secure networking. The firm said the new software is targeted at applications such as the Department of Defense's Net-Centric Warfare effort, which is an effort to create battlefield command networks using the IP protocol.
