GumGum Launches New Social Media Analysis Tool

Santa Monica-based GumGum, the developer of digital advertising and marketing tools which tie advertising into online photographs and visual content, has rolled out a new social media analysis tool. The new tool, Mantii, uses image recognition to help marketers gain insight into how images are being shared which relate to their brands across such social media services as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. GumGum said the new tool uses its image recognition and deep learning technogy to extract information on who is sharing images that relate to their brand; monitor competitors; help acquire rights to user generated content; and more. Pricing on the new tool was not announced. GumGum is led by Ophir Tanz.
