    Halozyme Raises $13.9M


    San Diego-based Halozyme Therapeutics announced that it has received $13.9M in a private placement. The company, which is listed on the OTC bulletin board, did not disclose the investors in the PIPE. The placement agent was SG Cowen & Co. The company is backed by Cimarron Biomedical, Colt Ventures, Grove Capital, and Richie Capital, among others. Halozyme is developing and commercializing recombinant human enzymes for infertility, opthalmology, and oncology.
