    Helicomm Ships ZigBee Development Kit, Modules


    Carlsbad-based Helicomm (www.helicomm.com) has announced a new PC-based development kit for developing wireless networking devices, based on the new ZigBee wireless standard. The company's development kit includes embedded wireless modules, controllers, and software which allows companies to quickly and easily integrate the new standard into products. ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4) is a new low-power, low data rate wireless networking standard intended for use in environmental control, security, industrial sensors, and other control applications.
