    HELIO Adds 3G Mobile Game Service


    Los Angeles-based MVNO Helio is expanding its wireless services, saying today that it is adding a mobile game service for its users. The youth-oriented wireless provider said that it is developing a mobile portal centered around 3G mobile games, designed to let Helio customers access multiplayer games. The MVNO has also partnered with IGN.com for entertainment content, and will tap games from EA Mobile, Gameloft, Digital Chcolate, Cosmic Infinity, and others. Helio is headed by Sky Dayton, founder of Earthlink, and is a joint venture between Earthlink and SK Telecom.
