    Helio Opens Retail Store

Los Angeles-based MVNO Helio said Tuesday that the firm is opening up a chain of retail stores, to market the firm's mobile phone service. The company said it is opening up a retail store at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, with a total of five stores to be open by early 2007. Helio said the 4,000 square foot store will revolve around the Helio brand, where customers can sample live devices and services, and sign up for Helio's wireless services. Other stores are planned for San Diego, Palo Alto, and Denver to be opened this year, and a store in New York in early 2007.
