High Density Networks Finds $1M

Los Angeles-based High Density Networks, a provider of Wi-Max and Internet access, announced late Monday that it has raised $1M in a funding round. According to the firm, the investment came from existing investor Certare Ventures and new CEO Barry Pier. High Density Networks said the new funding round will go to expand its customer base. The firm is developing a high speed Internet access service targeted at multi-dwelling units such as apartments and commercial office buildings; the firm said it currently covers around 150,000 units in Los Angeles, offering high speed Internet, DIRECTV, and voice services.
