    i2 Buys RiverOne


    i2 Technologies has purchased the assets of RiverOne, the Irvine-based supply chain management software firm. Terms were not disclosed. i2 said that it is buying RiverOne as a part of its growth strategy for expanding its customer base. i2 said that it expects to continue to support RiverOne's previous customers, and hiring a number of RiverOne employees. RiverOne was a developer of supply chain management software for the electronics manufacturing industry, and itself was a result of the merger of Need2Buy and Efinity in 2001.
