    Iapyx Medical Gets $9M


    San Diego-based Iapyx Medical said Thursday afternoon that it has raised $9M in funding from Tavistock Life Sciences. The funding will be used to support product development, marketing and sales. Iapyx said that the funding brings the company's total raised to more than $12M. Iapyx also said it was rebranding the firm in conjunction with the funding. Iapyx was formerly known as Medical Device Group. Iapyx is developing medical devices to reduce hospital-acquired infections.
