    Illumina Rolls Out Genome Analysis Software


    San Diego-based Illumina announced a new software product today, GenomeStudio, which the firm says can be used to analyze data from genetic research efforts. According to Illumina, the firm's new software allows researchers to analyze microarray and sequencing data from DNA analysis efforts. Illumina, which develops tools for the life sciences industry, also said the new tool also allows researchers to integrate its software with third-party applications. Illumina's software is used in gene sequencing and analysis.
