    IMT Partners With MEMtronics

Santa Barbara-based Innovative Micro Technology said this week that it has partnered with MEMtronic for the second phase of a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) grant. The two companies will work together on a $3.69M project for developing robust, reliable RF MEMS Capacitive Switches. The company said that the contract will improve the environmental robustness and reliability of radio frequency microelectromechanical systems (RF MEMS) operating under extreme environmental conditions. Other collaborators on the program are Lehigh University and Exponent. IMT is a developer of MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) devices, used for drug discovery, biomedical implants, inertial navigation, printing, and more.
