Ingram Micro To Sell Danish Unit, Restructure Operations

Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro, a distributor of technology products, announced today that it is selling off its operations in Denmark, and will restructure its operations in the Nordic countries of the EMEA. According to Ingram Micro, it intends to close its distribution businesses in Finland and Norway, following regulatory approvals, in addition to selling its Danish operations to German distributor Actebis Group. Financial terms of the Danish sale were not disclosed. The firm said the moves would "position the company for greater profitability." The closures and sale are expected to save the company from $100M to $120M in annual savings.
