Inktank Gets $13.4M For Cloud Storage Technology

Los Angeles-based Inktank, the developer of the open source, massively parallel, distributed file system Ceph, has added $13.4M into its coffers, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Friday. The filing says the funding--in the form of a debt round--came from four investors. Details on the investment have not yet been announced by the company. Inktank, which is a spinout of Dreamhost, has been developing the Ceph distributed file system for Linux, which is used to deliver high performance, distributed storage for open cloud systems like OpenStack and CloudStack.
