Inphi Names Engineering VP

High speed semiconductor firm Inphi Corp. is continuing to bolster its executive ranks ahead of an IPO, saying today that it has hired Lawrence Tse as its Vice President of Engineering for New Business Initiatives. According to Inphi, Tse joins the company from Intremag Systems, where he was Chief Technology Officer. He also served at Marvell Semiconductor, most recently as Vice President of Engineering for the Wireless Products, Communications and Consumer Business Group, and has been at Volterra Semiconductor, Chrontel, and Nortel Networks. Inphi, which is based in Sunnyvale but has operations and was founded in Westlake Village, recently filed for an IPO on the NYSE. The firm is venture backed by Walden International, Tallwood, Mayfield Fund, and Samsung Electronics.
