Intel Invests In Broadband Entertainment Firm

Revelations Entertainment and Intel have invested in a new Los Angeles-based firm, ClickStar, focused on online, broadband distribution of first run films. Revelations Entertainment, the production company headed by Morgan Freeman, said that the new company will focus on distributing premium movies directly to consumers over the Internet. Clickstar will provide download of first-run, pre-DVD-release films. Morgan Freeman, known for his roles in The Shawshank Redemption and Driving Miss Daisy, said that the goal of the company is to make film easier to buy than pirate. Amount of the funding was not disclosed.
