    International Rectifier Founder Lidow Retires, Replaced


    El Segundo-based International Rectifier said Monday that its founder, Eric Lidow, is retiring from the firm effective May 1st. Lidow, who was Chairman and a member of the firm's board of directors, will leave his position May 1st. Lidow founded International Rectifier in 1947 and served as its CEO until 1995, when he became Chairman. The firm said that Richard J. Dahl has been appointed the firm's Chairman of the board. Dahl has been on its board of directors since February of this year; Dahl also served on the board of IHOP Corporation, was President and COO of Dole Food Company, and also was with the Bank of Hawaii and Ernst & Young. International Rectifier develops analog, digital, and mixed signal integrated circuits used for power management.
