International Rectifier Gets Nod On Infineon Buy

El Segundo-based International Rectifier announced this morning that it has gotten a federal nod on the $3 billion acquisition of the company by Infineon. IR said that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 expired at midnight on Friday. Infineon said in August that it would pay $40 in cash per share for International Rectifier. IR develops power conversion semiconductors.
