Invisible Text Offers Up Disappearing Email, Calls

Los Angeles-based startup Invisible Text is hoping the attractiveness of disappearing messages--made popular by Snapchat--might rub off on its new software, saying Wednesday that it is launching a new set of apps for the iPhone to let users send disappearing email and to make secure phone calls that do not leave a footprint. The startup--led by Dez White--said it already offers up secure texting apps. Invisible Text claims that its software lets consumers send electric mail that "irretrievably disappears" after a recipient closes out a message, and that its telephone calls do not leave a call log and use secure, Voice-over-IP sessions.
