Iomega Invests In Storage Software Firm
San Diego-based Iomega announced that it has made an investment in ByteTaxi, Inc., the developer of FolderShare Software, and will embed the software in its upcoming data storage products. The undisclosed investment comes as Iomega seeks to enhance its data storage line. Iomega says taht FolderShare will be included with the Iomega Network Hard Drive starting in Q2 of 2005. The FolderShare software allows for the management and collection of digital files and sharing through peer-to-peer networks and the Internet.
