    Iomega Trumpets 1 Million REV Disks


    San Diego-based Iomega, a provider of data storage products, said this week that it has shipped its 1 Millionth REV format removable storage disk. The company said that it has shipped one million of its removable disks in the last 22 months. The company's removable hard drive format supports up to 35 gigabytes of storage. The company said that it has sold 200,000 REV drives to the industry so far. Iomega's storage products target the SMB market and users who are looking for backup and recovery or tape replacement. For comparison, In-Stat, a market research firm, reported 9.4 million DVD recorders were shipped in 2004.
