Costa Mesa-based Irvine Sensors said Wednesday that it has named John C. Carson, the firm's CEO and a director of the firm, as its Chairman. Irvine Sensors said that Carson succeeds former chairman Dr. Mel Brashears, who has resigned due to a family medical emergency. Irvine Sensors develops miniaturized infrared and electro-optical cameras, image processors, and other optical systems.
