Ixia's Asscher Retires, Ginsberg Named Chair

Calabasas-based Ixia, a provider of network testing systems, said Monday afternoon that its Chairman, Jean-Claude Asscher, has decided to retire. Ixia said that Errol Ginsberg, founder and CEO of Ixia, will become Chairman of the board of the firm effective January 1st. Ixia said that it has also named Asscher Chairman Emeritus of its board of directors in recognition of Asscher's contributions as a founder and director of the company. Asscher has been on the firm's board since 1997. Asscher was founder and chairman of Tekelec; Asscher retired from Tekelec's board last year and is also Chairman Emeritus at that firm.
