Ixia Adds Layer 2-3 Validation Tools
Calabasas-based Ixia has rolled out a new, Level 2-3 network testing system for the performance and functional validation of those devices and networks. Ixia's new IxNetwork product is targeted at network equipment manufacturers and service providers, and provides Layer 2-3 testing. The new product includes the ability to emulate IP routers, including Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Packet over SONET/SDH, and ATM interfaces. The firm said that the product can emulate thousands of routers and provide statistics for tracking performance.
