Ixia Drops On Revenue Report

Calabasas-based test equipment and software maker Ixia dropped 25 percent in trading Tuesday, after the company announced revised financial results for its second quarter. Ixia said this morning that its total revenues for Q2 were expected to be in the range of $114M to $116M, down from an earlier guidance of $119M to $122M. The firm had announced the lowered revenues in the morning, blaming lower than expected revenue from network equipment manufacturers and service providers, as well as large deals that had been pushed into future quarters. Ixia did note that two of its recent acquisition--Anue Systems and BreakingPoint Systems--both are expected to deliver at the high end of its range of revenues.
