Calabasas-based network testing equipment and software firm Ixia announced this week that it has launched a new effort with its Wi-Fi testing product, specifically aimed at the health care market. The firm said it has expand its Wi-Fi testing product, IxVeriWave, to specifically test for critical applications running on Wi-Fi networks. The firm said the new product comes as health care devices, such as defibrillators, infusion pumps and EKG monitors, are increasingly being used across Wi-Fi networks in healthcare settings. Ixia said its product lets users simulate live networks, prompt devices to roam, and measures key performance indicators to harden those networks.
