Ixia Upgrades IP Network Testing Solution

Calabasas-based Ixia (www.ixiacom.com) has introduced IxVoice 3.0, an upgraded version of its IP network testing platform. According to the company, the new version now provides comprehensive test coverage for PSTN and VoIP technologies, and includes a new application programming interface (API) that can be used to control IxVoice applications via TCL/Expect scripts. The new API is available through Solaris, Linux, and Windows. The interface allows users to automate test operations through scripting. The new software also includes new predefinted test cases that help test SS7, MGCP, NCP, and RTP protocols.
