    j2 Acquires Patent Portfolio
    Los Angeles-based j2 Global Communications (www.j2global.com) announced that it has acquired a portfolio of patents from NetOffice Solutions LLC, and has been issued two new U.S. patents on FAX to email and Voice-over-IP technology. The acquired patent portfolio includes four US patents, two foreign patents, and five pending US and foreign patent applications in the area of unified communications and multimedia messaging systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. j2 Global provides faxing and voicemail solutions, document management solutions, conference calling, and unified-messaging and communications services.
