j2 Global Acquires UK Email Security Company iCritical

Los Angeles-based j2 Global has acquired a UK-based, email security and management company, the company said this morning. j2 Global said it has acquired Critical Software Ltd., which operates under the brand name iCritical, as part of an effort to expand its email security and management business. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. j2 Global said the UK market is an important one to the company, where it says it has an annualized monthly run rate of over $50M in revenues. j2 Global has more than 70 employees across the UK. The company said the buy is not expected to be material to the company. iCritical will become part of j2's FuseMail of email related services.
