j2 Global Buys EmailDirect

Los Angeles-based j2 Global has gobbled up yet another, online internet service provider, saying today that it has acquired EmailDirect, a provider of email marketing services. j2 Global said it acquired EmailDirect in an asset deal, but did not disclose finances of the acquisition. j2 Global said it will use the buy to bolster its Campaigner Email Marketing brand. EmailDirect was based in Sacramento. j2 Global offers up a wide range of Internet cloud services, ranging from backup, to Internet FAX, email marketing, and much more, and also has a division focused on Internet publishing, and owns Ziff Davis, PCMag.com, IGN, and many other properties. j2 Global appears to have a limitless appetite for acquisitions, having already announced two other acquisition this month, and eight companies in December.
