    Jambo Lands $5M

Agoura Hills-based Jambo has raised $5M in venture funding from Kline Hawkes & Co., Westlake Venture Partners, and Gary Leff and Associates. The company, which is developing net-to-phone software for connecting web searchers directly with local businesses via phone, said that the investors had provided in excess of $5M in funding for the firm. Jambo said it is using the proceeds to support its pay per call solutions. The company is targeting the emerging local search engine market, and area which has seen lots of activity from both major search engines as well as startups.
