Jamdat Expands Into India
Los Angeles-based JAMDAT Mobile is expanding its cell phone game offerings into India, with a new deal with Indian cell provider Hutch. Hutch, which offers cellular service in India, will offer JAMDAT's Pitfall, Pool, and other titles on its Planet Hutch data services platform. Hutch, operated by Hutchinson Essar, is based in Mumbai India and provides access to 10.16 million mobile users in the country. JAMDAT is a developer of wireless entertainment titles, and recently announced a deal to be acquired by EA in a $680M purchase.
