Los Angeles-based JAMDAT Mobile has signed a deal with San Diego-based Kyocera Wireless Corp to provide trial versions of its wireless game software on all Kyocera BREW-enabled K400 series handsets in North America. JAMDAT games will be pre-loaded on the handsets, and users given the option to purchase full versions of those games. Kyocera Wireless is a subsidiary of Kyocera International, and acquired Qualcomm's CDMA consumer wireless phone business in 2000. JAMDAT is backed by Benchmark, Apax Partners, Qualcomm, and Sun.
